Photo Contest Terms & Conditions

1. Contest Period:

• The “This Is Greater Lima” Photo Contest is hosted by Visit Greater Lima. Each contest will feature a specific theme with start and end dates announced on the contest webpage. Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the posted end date.

• Each contest period is considered separate, and winners are selected based on the photos submitted during that specific two-week entry window.

• Visit Greater Lima reserves the right to adjust contest dates or pause the contest at any time, with or without prior notice. Be sure to follow us on social media or check our website for the most up-to-date theme and submission deadline.
   

2. Eligibility:

• This contest is open to all individuals.

• Photos must be taken within Allen County, Ohio.

• Submitted photos must align with the current contest theme as posted on the official contest webpage.

• Photos must be family-friendly.

• Employees of Visit Greater Lima and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
   

3. How to Enter:

• Participants must take a  themed photo within Allen County.

• Photos must be uploaded on the official Visit Greater Lima photo uploader on the contest webpage.

• Photos can be posted on the participant's Facebook or Instagram for an extra entry but must include hashtag #thisisgreaterlima to eligible for the bonus entry.

• Photos shared in the comments of Visit Greater Lima’s posts with the contest hashtag will not qualify for the bonus entry.

• Participants may submit multiple entries.
   

4. Photo Usage Rights:

• By entering this contest, participants grant Visit Greater Lima a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute the submitted photos in any and all media, including but not limited to:

  • Visit Greater Lima's website.

  • Visit Greater Lima's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

  • Visit Greater Lima's digital advertising.

  • Visit Greater Lima's print materials, including the Visitors Guide, magazine advertisements, and billboard advertisements.

  • Any other marketing or promotional material created by Visit Greater Lima.

• Visit Greater Lima may use the photos for any purpose, including but not limited to promoting tourism in Allen County.

• When necessary, Visit Greater Lima reserves the right to crop, edit, or otherwise modify the submitted photos.
   

5. Winner Selection:

• The winner will be selected by Visit Greater Lima staff based on creativity, spirit, and overall quality of the photo.

• The decision of Visit Greater Lima is final and binding.

• The winner will be announced on a date to be determined by Visit Greater Lima.
   

6. Prize:

• The winner will receive a Visit Greater Lima prize pack, which includes:

  • A Visit Greater Lima t-shirt (adult unisex sizes M-2XL). The winner will choose one (1) t--shirt from five (5) different t-shirt options, which will be displayed on the contest page.

• Prize is for local pickup only. Shipping is not available.

• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
   

7. Notification and Prize Claim:

• The winner will be notified via direct message on the social media platform where the winning photo was submitted.

• The winner must respond within 5 days to claim their prize.

• If the winner does not respond within the specified time, a new winner may be selected.
   

8. General Conditions:

• Visit Greater Lima reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these terms and conditions.

• Visit Greater Lima reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time.

• By participating in this contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless Visit Greater Lima from any and all claims, liabilities, and damages arising from their participation in the contest.

• This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
